The Grand Spectacle Circus is founded by the Petrovs family in Moscow, beginning as a small traveling show with just 12 performers and one tent.
First international tour begins! The circus travels across Europe, introducing Western audiences to Eastern European circus traditions and breathtaking acrobatics.
The iconic red and white striped Big Top is introduced, becoming our signature look. The design is inspired by traditional Russian circus architecture.
We become the first major circus to eliminate animal acts, focusing entirely on human performance arts. This revolutionary decision inspires the industry.
Cirque Innovation Lab opens, developing new apparatus and performance technologies. Our shows begin incorporating LED costumes and interactive digital elements.
